Skateistan Art Benefit | NOMAD Los Angeles

Artists, activists, and the skate community came together for an art benefit to raise money and awareness for Skateistan. Skateistan is a co-educational skateboarding school that engages youth in Afghanistan and Cambodia through skateboarding, provides youth with new opportunities in cross-cultural interaction, education, and personal empowerment programs.

The Benefit show was produced by Sowaila Zada and Social.Experiment. Curated by the community alongside SIMJEE TEXTOR, the event was hosted at NOMAD Gallery, a printmaking studio and art compound located in Northeast Los Angeles’s Frogtown.
