“We’re those Middle Eastern girls that speak Spanish”
Diosa Vida is a female artist collective and a lifestyle. Based in Los Angeles, the diosa movement was established by two emcees and visual artists, Ji la Zand and Jazzminah.
Both of Middle Eastern and Mexican origins, they fuse their cultures, sound, fashion, and language as a form of revolution against binaries. Diosa Vida, which means “Goddess Life” in Spanish, has set out to build a community of women who recognize their sacredness and collective power through artistic expression.
